Mount Vernon At Home has eight standing committees that report to the Board of Directors:

Committee members are Mount Vernon At Home members and community friends who enjoy planning and working together to strengthen our organization. New committee volunteers are welcome! Brief descriptions of committee activities follow.
Fundraising Committee - plans, organizes and promotes fundraising activities including the fall fundraiser and Legacy program. The Celebrate! Gala subcommittee works exclusively on the spring Gala fundraiser.
Membership Committee - develops membership recruitment plans and activities.
Program Committee - plans and implements Mount Vernon At Home social, educational and cultural programs.
Volunteer Committee - plans volunteer recruitment and retention.
Caring Committee - provides outreach to members who may feel isolated, facing challenges or would like companionship.
Communication Committee - promotes Mount Vernon At Home's role in our community through participation in community outreach activities.
Governance Committee - provides oversight of bylaws, legal and insurance issues.
Nomination Committee - identifies candidates for the Board of Directors as board members conclude their terms.
